Monday was the Harvard Business School Association of Orange County 21st annual Entrepreneurs Conference in Irvine. A well attended conference with panel sessions and workshops focused on entrepreneurs and their start-up ventures. From Business planning to Cash Flow analysis to Marketing, a pretty broad set of topics covered expertly by local service providers, researchers, venture financiers, business leaders and academics. Keynotes were presented by Senior Associate Dean Alfred Osborne of UCLA Anderson School of Management, CEO Greg Trojan of House of Blues and Wayne Inouye, President and CEO of Gateway. More on this conference later.
This morning was the 3rd annual Los Angeles Venture Association breakfast meeting with entrepreneurs and financiers who have business and investments in California and Israel. The similarity in investment strategies, entrepreneurship and the interlinks between capital and start-ups here and there are striking. Every year it gets better. More on this later.
